About Us

Hi, I'm Cristina!

Welcome to Rosa Jade Jewelry! I'm so happy you're here.

I was born and raised in Ecuador, a country known for its beautiful handmade craftsmanship and talented artisans. Growing up, I was surrounded by creativity, and I always admired the incredible things that could be made by hand.

Rosa Jade Jewelry began with a dream of sharing a little piece of Ecuador with the world. My twin daughters are my biggest inspiration, and their middle names—Rose (Rosa in Spanish) and Jade—are what inspired the name of my business. They remind me every day to chase my dreams and create something meaningful.

Every piece you see is thoughtfully handcrafted using Tagua, a remarkable natural material that grows in the rainforests of Ecuador. I love creating jewelry that's not only beautiful but also tells a story and connects you to the artisans who make it possible.

Why Tagua?

Tagua, often called vegetable ivory, is the seed of the Ivory Palm tree found in the rainforests of Ecuador. Once the seeds naturally fall from the tree, they're collected, dried, carved, polished, and dyed by skilled artisans before becoming the jewelry you see today.

Because Tagua is a sustainable alternative to animal ivory, choosing Tagua helps protect elephants while supporting the conservation of Ecuador's rainforests and the communities that depend on them.

No two Tagua seeds are exactly alike. Each one has its own natural grain and texture, making every piece of jewelry truly one of a kind. It's lightweight, durable, eco-friendly, and full of character—just like the people who wear it.

More Than Jewelry

When you shop with Rosa Jade Jewelry, you're supporting talented artisans in Ecuador, a small woman-owned business, and handmade craftsmanship that's been passed down through generations.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping keep these traditions alive.

I'm always creating new designs, so be sure to check back often. I can't wait to share what's coming next!
