Indigenous women have traditionally used these bags to carry seeds while planting in the fields. Today they are used as the perfect accessory.
Local artisans of Otavalo, Ecuador (located in the mountain region of La Sierra) wove these bags from the natural fibers of the Cabuya plant. The Cabuya plant, known as Penco (agave plant), grows wildly in the Andes Mountain region of Ecuador.
Colors, sizes, and imperfections add to the uniqueness of these bags because all materials are natural resources.
